Coffee Roasting

Experience traditional coffee cultivation and roasting, just as it has been done for generations. Enjoy the aroma and taste of a cup of wonderful organic, fresh-roasted Arabica coffee each day at the main lodge.

Bring home the feelings awakened during yourtime here. The Zawadi Boutique offers a wonderful selection of unique East African books, artwork, carvings, textiles, decorative art, exotic jewellery and Gibb's Farm's special Arabica coffee.

Bird Watching

A guided early morning walk through the gardens and around the plantation to observe the early risers. Take a census and understand behaviour.

Coffee Harvesting

Join us as we harvest the coffee berries the traditional way. The harvest is seasonal and starts from late June until November.

Giant Chess

Gather your friends and family around for a game of 'giant' garden chess.

Pool & Terrace

Take a refreshing dip or relax poolside with a gin & tonic while soaking up the afternoon sun. Our lap-pool and pool terrace overlook the picturesque coffee fields and Great Rift Valley.

Carpentry, build a desk

Contribute to new school furniture, distributed through the Karutu Education Fund. At schools in the area, three to four children typically share one desk, so new furniture is always appreciated.

Conservation Area Walks

We offer two walks directly from the farm into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area: Elephant Caves & Waterfall Walk (2 hours) and the Farm to Crater Rim Walk (6-7 hours). Explore the forest where you may encounter buffalo, bushbuck, abundant birdlife and unique plants.
